Arson, Pimpama

Police have charged a 33-year-old man with arson, after his Pimpama home was destroyed by fire yesterday morning.
Emergency services were called to Brampton Court around 7.30am with reports of a house on fire.
Upon arrival, the house was fully engulfed in flames. Neighbours were evacuated as a precaution until the fire could be extinguished.
No other properties were damaged during the incident and no one was injured.
Investigations indicate that the fire started in the garage, destroying a 2000 Suburu Impreza sedan before spreading to the rest of the dwelling.
This morning, detectives arrested a 33-year-old Pimpama man and charged him with one count of arson.
He is scheduled to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court (tomorrow) Saturday, September 21.
