Detectives have charged a 46-year-old woman following protracted investigations into the death of a male cyclist at Gatton in 2012.
The investigation commenced after police located the body of 25-year-old Shui Ki Chan around 10am on August 23 at the side of the Warrego Highway adjacent to the University of Queensland, Gatton Campus.
It will be alleged the man was struck by a vehicle on the previous evening.
A 46-year-old Newtown woman has been charged with one count of murder and is due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Police are investigating after a female driver was threatened on the side of the road at knifepoint by an unknown man in Boondall late last month.
A woman in her 20s was driving her car on Sandgate Road around 6pm on Tuesday, June 26 and as she approached the Gateway Motorway, she was overtaken suddenly by a car which stopped abruptly in front of her.
A man got out of the older style red Holden sedan with a rusted bonnet and approached the woman’s vehicle before pulling her out of the car by her hair and threatening her with a knife.
The woman screamed and another motorist, a man in his 40s wearing a high visibility shirt and driving a white ute, stopped and provided assistance.
The man then returned to his car and fled the scene.
The woman did not suffer any physical injures as a result of the incident and the woman reported

Detectives are investigating an early morning robbery at a service station in Kepnock.
Around 2.30am an offender entered the Boundary Street business and approached the counter during which time a firearm was produced.
They then threatened the male employee before money was stolen from a cash register.
The offender fled on foot and was last seen travelling towards Farthing Street.
They are described as approximately 165cm-170cm tall, proportionate build, wearing a yellow Jake the Dog onesie, full black mask, black Adidas bum bag, black gloves and black shoes.
No one was physically injured and police investigations are continuing.

Police have seized more than $1 million in illicit drugs and arrested 28 people on 110 charges following the closure of a major operation targeting a sophisticated Sunshine Coast drug syndicate.
Operation Papa Argyle commenced in January 2017 following the identification of a high level organised crime syndicate on the Sunshine Coast controlling a number of major trafficking networks.
The closure of the protracted operation today resulted in a 28–year-old Sunshine Coast man, an alleged member of the crime group, charged with a number of drug trafficking offences.
The Sunshine Coast District Drug and Serious Crime Task Force closed the first phase of the operation on October 8, 2017 following the execution of a search warrant at an inner city Brisbane apartment which was alleged to have been the crime group’s “safe house”.
Police located a quantity of cocaine, a cocaine press, MDMA capsule press, methylamphetamine and a large sum of cash.
