A man has been charged with offences under the Defence Act (1903) after it was reported to police he had allegedly impersonated a returned serviceman.
As a result, on June 13, police executed a search warrant at a home in Goondiwindi where a quantity of military paraphernalia was seized.
A Goondiwindi man aged 49 has been charged with one count each of falsely representing to be a returned soldier, sailor or airman and improper use of service decorations.
He is due to appear in the Goondiwindi Magistrates Court tomorrow.

A man has died following a two-vehicle-crash at Archerfield this afternoon.
Around 2.45pm, a motorcycle and a truck collided at the intersection of Balham and Barton Roads.
The 47-year-old male motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating, and appealing to anyone who may have relevant dashcam footage or who may have witnessed the crash to contact police.
