A woman has died and a man has been injured after they were struck by a SUV while crossing a road at Browns Plains this morning.
Around 7.45am the man and woman, both aged 67 years from Browns Plains, were struck while crossing the road at a set of lights at the intersection of Browns Plains Road and Downing Street.
The woman died at the scene from her injuries.
The man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment to non life threatening injuries.
The 28-year-old female driver of the SUV from Parkinson was not injured in the incident.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.

Ipswich District Detectives have charged a man with a number of offences following a protracted investigation into a series of incidents in Springfield and Redbank Plains over the past three months.
Operation Quebec Ramrod was launched in March in response to numerous complaints of homemade soda bombs being let off in the Redbank Plains area.
Detective Inspector David Briese said the soda bombs caused damage to property, and had the potential to cause serious injury to members of the public.
“There have been a number of incidents involving homemade soda bottle bombs in Burrawang Street, Berrigan Street, and Nardoo Court.”
“It is through sheer luck that no one was hurt in these incidents, as the items contain highly corrosive liquid,” Inspector Briese said.
Police executed a search warrant at a Springfield Lakes address this morning, where a 35-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody.

Police have charged a man following a dangerous driving incident across parts of the Ipswich District yesterday afternoon.
It will be alleged that in the early hours of June 11, a number of sheds were broken into at a rural property on Gatton-Laidley Road in Forest Hill.
A 2008 Toyota Landcruiser was also allegedly stolen from the address.
It will be further alleged that around 2pm yesterday, the vehicle was sighted being driven through a number of fences on rural properties in the Rosewood and Thagoona areas.
On one occasion, the man behind the wheel allegedly drove it through a fence at a property on Dellvene Crescent towards a police officer, however he was not physically injured.
The vehicle then allegedly travelled onto the Warrego Highway where it was tracked by Pol Air 1 and observed driving at speeds in excess of 140 kilometres per hour and on the incorrect side of the highway towards

Three people have been charged with a number of serious offences after the allegedly stolen car they were travelling in was tracked by the police helicopter from Caboolture to Wamuran yesterday.
It will be alleged that just after 7am, a 2004 Holden Adventra was stolen from a Noellan Drive address in Deception Bay.
Later in the morning, the vehicle was spotted by Pol Air 2 and it was tracked through Caboolture, Wamuran and Woodford.
It will be alleged that the vehicle was driven dangerously including on the wrong side of the road and at speeds up to 140 kilometres per hour.
It is also alleged that at one time, the two male occupants changed seats and took turns driving.
A pursuit was authorised as were the deployment of stingers. The vehicle was successfully stung on Delaney’s Creek Road.
Around 11am, the vehicle lost control at Wamuran, outside a service station.

Police have charged a man following a fatal crash at Rochedale on June 3.
It will be alleged that around 4.20am, a utility travelling in the wrong direction of the Gateway Motorway’s northbound lanes collided with a hatchback near the Mount Capalaba exit.
The passenger in the hatchback – a 61-year-old Maroochydore man – was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital but subsequently passed away.
The 63-year-old female driver also from Maroochydore was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious injuries.
Yesterday, a 29-year-old Fortitude Valley man who police allege was the driver and sole occupant of the utility, was arrested in Good Night, south east of Bundaberg.
He has been charged with manslaughter and is due to appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court this morning.
