Detectives from the Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have arrested a Burleigh Heads man for serious drug and counterfeit cash offences.
It will be alleged detectives executed a search warrant on a Clinton Avenue residence on Thursday morning.
As a result, it will be alleged methylamphetamines (ICE) valued at more than $10,000, MDMA tablets, steroids, approximately $10,000 in counterfeit Australian currency and other drug paraphernalia was located.
A 44-year-old Burleigh Heads man was arrested and charged with four counts of possession of dangerous drugs, receiving tainted property, possession of counterfeit currency, possession of drug utensils and contravene a direction.
Detective Inspector Brendan Smith from Gold Coast CIB said the arrest and seizure are a great result for the community.

Attempted armed robbery appeal, Calamvale and Logan
Detectives investigating two possible linked attempted armed robberies in Calamvale and Logan this morning have released images of a vehicle as part of an appeal for public assistance.
Shortly after 6.30am one male has produced a knife and attempted to force their way into a man’s car at the intersection of Chateau Street and Kinedana Street, Calamvale. This male has assaulted the occupant of the vehicle before fleeing in a silver sedan.
The man was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
At 7.50am a woman was in a car in North Street, Logan Village when approached by two males and threatened.
The males are described as Caucasian and being aged in their late teens to mid 20’s.
They were seen leaving in a silver sedan.
Investigators are appealing for anyone with information or dash cam vision from the Calamvale and Logan Village area – and around Ingram Road in Sunnybank Hills
Robbery, Wishart
Police have charged a man after he allegedly threatened to burn a service station attendant earlier tonight.
It will be alleged at 7pm a man attended the Newnham Road business and selected a can of degreaser from the shelf. He then threatened to set it alight and burn the staff member before leaving the store.
Police located the man a short time later nearby.
A 34-year-old Bridgeman Downs man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday June 3.
Serious traffic crash, Mackay
A man is in a serious condition after a single vehicle traffic crash late this afternoon at Mount Pelion, north of Mackay.
Preliminary inquiries indicate at 5.10pm a Ford Ranger was headed north on Mount Pelion Road. The driver has lost control of the vehicle on the Careys Creek bridge and the vehicle has flipped over coming to rest on the creek bank.
A 25-year-old Mirani man was transported to the Mackay Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver and only other occupant, a 20-year-old Mount Ossa man, was also taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Investigations are continuing.
Armed robbery charges, Yeerongpilly
Police have charged six teenagers after they allegedly assaulted a man and stole his phone, wallet and watch at Yeerongpilly last night.
It will be alleged at 11.25pm on Friday night a 24-year-old Yeronga man was walking on a pedestrian bridge off Fairfield Road when he approached six teenagers. The teenagers surrounded the man and one of them held a knife to the man’s throat. They demanded his wallet, phone and watch and after he complied, they kicked the man in the back.
The man flagged down a passer-by and police located the six boys nearby a short time later.
Six boys aged between 13 and 17 from Logan have all been charged with armed robbery in company and will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
The victim was treated at the Princess Alexandra Hospital for a small cut to his neck.
Suspicious death, Bracken Ridge
Police are investigating following the suspicious death of a man at Bracken Ridge this morning.
The body of a 27-year-old Deagon man was located on the roadway along Barfoot Street around 5.45am.
The circumstances surrounding the man’s death are considered suspicious and a crime scene was established.

Burglary and fraud investigation, Sunnybank
Detectives from South Brisbane District are investigating the burglary of a home in Sunnybank in which over $130,000 worth of property was stolen.
Investigations indicate entry was gained to the home between April 17 and April 20 where watches, jewellery and bank cards were stolen.
Investigators have released vision of a man who may be able to assist police with their enquiries after a bank card stolen during the burglary was used at an ATM at a shopping centre in Sunnybank on April 21.

Update: PSPA revoked, Biggera Waters
Police have revoked an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) in relation to suspicious device located at Biggera Waters this morning.
The device was found outside of a residence on Cawthray Street around 9.20am.
Specialist police attended the scene and inspected the device which has now been deemed safe.
The exclusion zone encompassing Hollywell Road down to Cawthray Street has now been reopened and the PSPA declaration revoked at 12.15pm.
Suspicious device, Biggera Waters
Police have declared an emergency situation under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) after a suspicious device was located outside a residence in Biggera Waters this morning.
The PSPA was declared around 11.25am after the device was discovered.
An exclusion zone has been set up encompassing Hollywell Road down to Cawthray Street.
Specialist police are in attendance.
Police are asking people to avoid the area.
Serious assault, Bushland Beach
Detectives are investigating the serious assault of a man that occurred last night in Bushland Beach.
Initial investigations indicate about 11pm, a 23-year-old Aitkenvale man was at a licensed premises on Livistonia Drive where a physical altercation with a group occurred.
After the altercation the victim was approached from behind and struck in the back of the head by someone from the group causing him to fall backwards.
Upon his fall the 23-year-old man has hit his head on the ground and has lost consciousness.
He was taken to Townsville Hospital where he is now recovering in a stable condition with head injuries.
Detectives are appealing to any members of the public who may have witnessed the incident or who have information that may assist with the investigation to contact police.
