Armed robbery, Yeronga

Police are investigating after a teenager attempted to rob a convenience store at Yeronga overnight.
Around 10.25pm a male teenager entered the Fairfield Road store armed with a knife and demanded money.
A male staff member declined and challenged the teenager with a mop. The teenager ran from the store and was last seen heading south on Devon Street.
He is described as late teens, 175cm with a medium build and wearing a grey hooded jumper.

Suspected stolen property located, Wynnum

Police are hoping to reunite up to $150,000 worth of unique property suspected of being stolen with its rightful owners.
The property, most of which is believed to be rare and valuable items, was seized during a raid on an address in Wynnum on February 28.
Two occupants at the address, a 54-year-old woman and a 61-year-old man, were arrested on drug related offences and are currently assisting police with inquires.
Some of the antique property includes a 1950 camera, commemorative coins, jewellery and historical bank notes.
Police suspect the property is stolen from numerous break-ins across Brisbane over the past ten years.
Police are urging the public to review the images and email bayside.foundproperty@police.qld.gov.au if they can assist in returning these items to their rightful owners.

Drug operation charges, Cunnamulla

Police have charged 34 people as part of an operation targeting property crime, the supply of dangerous drugs and firearm offences in Cunnamulla and South West Queensland.
Operation Romeo Longbow commenced in January of this year, involving officers from South West District, Road Policing Command officers and investigators from State Crime Command’s Major Organised Crime (Rural), and targeted the links between the supply of ice, cannabis and stolen property.
As a result of the operation 34 people have been charged with a total of 64 offences including; break and enter, burglary, possessing tainted property, receiving stolen property, possession of dangerous drugs and utensils and drug driving offences.
Officers executed 21 search warrants in Cunnamulla, Charleville and surrounding areas, as well as conducting drug testing in Cunnamulla as part of the operation.
Acting Senior Sergeant Isa Tolete from Cunnamulla station said the operation showed the commitment of local police to ensuring community safety.

Final update: Logan disturbance

Yesterday afternoon police charged a 33-year-old Upper Coomera man for his alleged involvement in an incident at a shopping centre at Loganholme on Monday, February 4.
The man has been charged with one count of affray and one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm. Police will further allege a circumstance of aggravation to the charge, that this man is a member of a criminal organisation (Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang).
It will be alleged that on February 4, around 4.30pm the man was one of a number of men who were involved in an altercation in this shopping centre. This altercation resulted in a 27-year-old man receiving a gunshot wound to his leg.
Following the incident, significant investigations were undertaken by the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch supported by State Crime Command and resulting in all offenders involved in this matter being charged with a range of serious offences. These matters are

Update 2: Abduction, Robina

Police have charged a man following investigations into an alleged abduction that occurred at Robina yesterday.
At about 5pm, a 26-year-old woman was walking to her car when an unknown man also got into the car.
It will be alleged he demanded the woman to drive him north on the motorway.
A short time later police located the woman safe and well near Exit 66 at Gaven.
At 6.20pm today a man attended the Mudgeeraba Police Station.
A 47-year-old Mudgeeraba man has been charged with one count each of kidnapping, unlawful entry of a vehicle and assault.  He will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow, March 6.

Fatal traffic crash, Deeragun

A boy has died as a result of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle-crash in Deeragun this afternoon.
Preliminary inquiries indicate that at approximately 4.20pm a trail bike and a utility, collided at the corner of Geaney Lane and Meranti Street.
As a result of the collision the trail bike rider, a 16-year-old boy, was transported to the Townsville Base Hospital for treatment, where he later died.
The driver of the utility, a 60-year-old man, was not physically injured however was transported to hospital for observation.
Forensic Crash Unit investigations continue.

Drink driving and assault police, Ayr

Police have charged a man with drink driving after he allegedly fled from officers into a cane paddock near Ayr on Saturday.
Around 1.45am police from Ayr Station intercepted a utility travelling on Giddy Road.
Police will allege the driver, when stopped by police, switched places with the male passenger in the vehicle.
The man allegedly refused to provide a sample of breath before fleeing into a nearby cane paddock.
When police attempted to detain him, he allegedly tackled a police officer and later kicked the officer in the chest whilst being placed into the police vehicle.
The driver was subsequently conveyed to the Ayr Police Station where she returned a blood alcohol concentrate reading of 0.183 per cent.
The officer sustained no physical injuries from the assault.

Update – Robbery with violence, Helensvale

Detectives have charged two boys over the alleged robbery of a 12-year-old boy at Helensvale on Sunday night.
Around 6.30pm, the boy was at a railway station when he was approached by four boys and a girl.
It will be alleged the four boys dragged him from a taxi and assaulted him, before stealing his shoes and attempting to steal his mobile phone.
During the incident, the boy sustained a fractured jaw, chipped tooth and grazing and was later treated at the Gold Coast University Hospital.
A 12-year-old Labrador boy has been charged with armed robbery, stealing and going armed to cause fear.
A 12-year-old Marsden boy has been charged with robbery in company, stealing and possess knife in public place.
Investigations are continuing.

Armed robbery, Wynnum West

Police are investigating after a man entered a Wynnum West store yesterday afternoon and threaten a staff member with a knife.
Around 2.45pm a man entered the Sibley Street business and located a cash tin behind the counter. When the male staff member approached the man, he produced a small knife and threatened him.
The man then left the store with a sum on cash.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
The man is described as being 35-years-old, 185cm tall, olive complexion, dark coloured eyes, hairy arms, with tattoos on one arm, unshaven and wearing black baseball cap, dark green t-shirt, dark coloured shorts, white socks and a small black back pack.
