Police investigating an attempted armed robbery at Woolloongabba yesterday evening have charged a man in relation to the incident.
It is alleged at about 10.10pm, a man entered a service station on Logan Road armed with a screwdriver and demanded money from the staff member.
The male staff member refused and asked the man to leave.
The man fled the scene without any property or cash.
It is alleged police located the man approximately 100 metres from the incident in possession of a screwdriver and a knife.
A 36-year-old South Brisbane man is charged with one count of attempted robbery and will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on April 16.

Armed robbery, Kangaroo Point
Police are investigating after a violent robbery incident that occurred at Kangaroo Point yesterday evening.
At about 8.40pm, three men attended Pearson Street in response to an advertisement on an online classifieds site for the sale of a mobile phone.
The men were met by four males and after an exchange of money, the men were assaulted by the males who were armed with sticks.
One of the male offenders then threatened one of the men with a knife and demanded additional money which the man complied with.
The three men then ran to a taxi and locked themselves inside whilst the male offenders commenced damaging the taxi with the sticks.
The male offenders then fled the scene with a sum of cash.
Two of the assaulted men received cuts and abrasions to their face and arms.
Investigations are continuing.

Breach of bail offence, Currumbin
Two people have been arrested after police located them unlawfully inside a Major Events Area (MEA) at Currumbin.
The pair were both arrested around 11am for a breach of bail conditions offence.
A 20-year-old Northern Territory man and a 21-year-old Queensland woman are currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Update: Attempted robbery, Nundah
Police have charged a youth following investigations into an attempted robbery at Nundah Thursday evening.
At about 8.10pm, a female bus driver was approached by a group of youths at a bus exchange on Sandgate Road.
It is alleged the youths spat on the driver and attempted to steal a cash tin however was prevented by the driver from doing so.
The driver was punched in the face by one of the juveniles prior to them fleeing the scene on foot.
The driver received minor injuries only.
A 13-year-old girl has been charged with robbery.
Investigations are continuing.

Serious traffic crash, Jondaryan
Police are investigating after a serious traffic crash that occurred between Jondaryan and Bowenville yesterday evening.
Initial investigations indicate at about 7pm, a man walking westbound on the Warrego Highway was struck by two vehicles which were also travelling in a westerly direction.
The man was air-lifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
No other persons were injured.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Attempted robbery, Salisbury
Police are investigating after an attempted robbery incident at Salisbury this evening.
At about 8pm, a man driving a vehicle along Cripps Street was flagged down by a man claiming to be injured.
When the driver of the vehicle exited his car, the injured man and a second male person assaulted the driver and damaged his vehicle with a baseball bat.
One of the offenders attempted to rummage through the driver’s car however the driver was able to remove the man from the vehicle and call for assistance.
The two offenders fled the scene in a green sedan that was parked nearby.
The driver of the car received minor injuries to his face only.
Investigations are continuing.

Arson charge, Strathpine
Police have charged a 44-year-old man following investigations into a house fire at Strathpine this morning.
Around 11am, police were called to an address on Lancaster Street following reports of a dwelling engulfed by fire.
A resident of the house, a 60-year-old man, was inside the house at the time of the incident, but was able to exit the dwelling unharmed.
On arrival, police spoke with a number of witnesses who allege the fire was deliberately lit and identified a man at the scene who may be able to assist.
A man was taken into custody at the scene.
The 44-year-old Strathpine man has been charged with one count each of arson and burglary and commit indictable offence.
He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow, April 14.
