Bus driver assault, Brisbane City

Police investigating the assault of a bus driver in Brisbane City on Wednesday March 11 have released images of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
Around 2pm at bus stop 23 on Adelaide Street, a male passenger began an argument with the bus driver, which escalated.
The driver asked the man to exit the bus and as he was getting off, assaulted the male driver, before fleeing the scene.
The man is described as having a dark complexion, is around 50-years-old, with a proportionate build, light brown hair and a sleeve tattoo on his right arm.
He was wearing a black and white horizontal stripped shirt, blue shorts, a surgical mask and carrying a cooler bag.
Anyone with information about the man is urged to contact police.

Wounding, Southport

Police investigating a wounding incident in a unit at Southport last week have released CCTV images of a man they believe could assist them.
Around 1am on Friday, March 13, a 30-year-old man awoke to go to the bathroom in his Louise Street unit when he saw an unknown man standing inside his residence.
He confronted the man before a struggle ensued at which time the victim sustained a minor laceration to his chest.
He was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.
The offender, who fled the scene, is described as Caucasian, approximately 20 to 25 years of age, 180cm tall with a proportionate and small amount of facial hair. He was wearing a green t-shirt, brown shorts and a green cap.
Anyone who recognises the man depicted in the footage is urged to contact police.

Update: Double fatal traffic crash, Babinda

A 17-year-old boy has been charged in relation to a traffic crash at Babinda last year that claimed the lives of two people.
On October 27, 2019 two vehicles collided head-on along the Bruce Highway at around 7.30pm.
A 16-year-old girl from Bellenden Ker and a 19-year-old man from Wongaling Beach were both pronounced deceased at the scene. The pair were travelling in the same vehicle.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 17-year-old boy, was airlifted to Cairns hospital with serious injuries.
It is alleged that a quantity of dangerous drugs and ammunition were located in the vehicle he was travelling in.
Ongoing investigations by the Cairns Child Protection and Investigation Unit, have led to a 17-year-old boy from Gulliver being charged with, dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death, possessing dangerous drugs and authority required to possess explosive.
He will appear in the Townsville Children’s Court.

Arson charge, Mango Hill

Police have charged a man following a house fire at Mango Hill yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Freshwater Creek Drive just after 4pm where they found a two storey house well alight.
Two people who were inside the residence at the time of the blaze escaped without injury.
The fire was extinguished however caused extensive damage to the home.
Police attended the scene and arrested a man a short time later at a location nearby.
A 31-year-old Kallangur man has been charged with arson and is due to appear in Pine River Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Investigations are continuing.

Fatal traffic crash, Wattle Camp

Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash involving two motorbikes at Wattle Camp in South Burnett yesterday afternoon.
Preliminary information suggests two male riders were travelling west together along Memerambi Barkers Creek Road around 3.45pm when one of the motorbikes collided with the other.
One of the riders, a man aged in his 70s, suffered significant injuries after coming off his bike and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The other motorcyclist, a 46-year-old man, was not seriously injured.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Update 4: Homcide investigation, Amamoor

Police have charged a second man following investigations into the shooting death of a 22-year-old man last week.
This afternoon, members of the public sighted a person of interest, a 32-year-old man at Gympie Hospital seeking treatment and contacted police.
Police attended the hospital and took the man into custody without incident.
He has been charged with murder and attempted armed robbery and will face the Gympie Magistrates Court tomorrow (March 18).
Detectives wish to thank the public for their assistance.
Officers are still seeking assistance to locate 33-year-old Trent Edward Dyhrberg (pictured) and again appeal for the community to not approach him but to contact police.
He is described as Caucasian, around 180cm tall who was last seen wearing a dark shirt and long tracksuit pants.

Armed robbery Logan Central

Police are seeking a man and woman who they believe can assist them with their investigation into the armed robbery of a 63-year-old woman at Logan Central yesterday (March 16).
Around 10.25am yesterday the woman was sitting inside her vehicle in a carpark of a shopping centre on Wembley Road when a man and a woman approached her car. The man produced a knife and demanded money.
The woman handed over a sum of money and the couple got into a small vehicle and drove off.
The victim was not physically injured in the incident.

Update 3: Appeal for public assistance, homicide investigation, Amamoor

Detectives have identified a third person of interest in relation to the homicide investigation of a 22-year-old man last week.
Trent Edward Dyhrberg (pictured below left), 33, is described as Caucasian, 182cm tall, muscular build and has brown hair and brown eyes.
Police also continue to search for 32-year-old Nathan John Caulfield (pictured below right) who is described as Caucasian, around 180cm tall who was last seen wearing a dark shirt and long tracksuit pants.
Detectives believe Nathan may be armed and was last seen travelling in a silver Ford Falcon utility with Queensland registration 268 ZOW (pictured below).
Anyone who sees the men, or the vehicle pictured is asked not to approach and to contact police immediately.
Investigations have led to the arrest of a 19-year-old man who was charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted robbery. He is due to appear in Gympie Magistrates Court today (March 17).

Michael Zanco (pictured below right) sustained a gunshot wound to his head at a Frayne Road property in Amamoor on Thursday evening.
He passed away as a result of his injuries on Friday night and a crime scene was established.
A 19-year-old Gympie man has been charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted robbery. He is due to appear in Gympie Magistrates Court today (March 17).

Update: Serious assault, Calamvale

A man has been charged following ongoing investigations into the alleged unprovoked assault of a woman at a Calamvale shopping centre last week.
After information from the public, police last night arrested a 34-year-old Calamvale man and charged him with assault occasioning bodily harm.
It will be alleged at around 11.55am on March 10 two women exited a retail store at the Compton Road shopping centre when a man walked up behind them.
He then allegedly called out to the women, and when they turned around, punched one of the pair, knocking her to the ground.
The man is expected appear in Holland Park Magistrates Court on April 16.
