Police have charged a teenage girl and are appealing for information following an alleged armed robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle last night in Townsville.
Overnight on Friday (14) and Saturday (15) a Mazda sedan was allegedly stolen from a Mount Low address during a break-in.
Shortly before 6pm last night (February 16) it will be alleged the occupants of the stolen Mazda threw objects from their vehicle at another motorist, a man driving a dual cab.
Police will allege the driver chased the stolen Mazda from Aitkenvale to Townsville before crashing into the rear of the Mazda in Stanley Street at around 7.30pm, causing it to stop.
The four occupants of the Mazda, all believed to be juveniles, fled on foot.
Police attended the crash scene and arrested a 17-year-old girl, an alleged passenger in the stolen Mazda.
