Armed robbery attempt – Varsity Lakes

Police are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a convenience store at Varsity Lakes last night.
Around 11.50pm two males with their faces covered have entered the Christine Avenue store armed with a knife and a hammer.
The men have threatened the 62-year-old female employee while making demands for money.
The woman refused to hand over any money at which time the male armed with the hammer has smashed the front glass door from the inside and knocked over parts of a confectionary display.
The woman continued to refuse to hand over any money and the men fled the scene.
No items or money were stolen from the store.
The woman was not physically injured in the incident.
The first man is described as Caucasian, 165-170 cm tall, slim build wearing khaki knee length shorts, black coloured long sleeve top, black work boots, black gloves, black baseball cap and a black/red coloured ski mask and was
