Toowoomba detectives have a charged a man with several offences after a firearm was allegedly discharged into a Harristown street on Saturday afternoon (January 18).
It will be alleged a man attended a Drayton Road, Harristown residence around 1pm where he was involved in an altercation with occupants of the address, three women and one man, all known to him.
The man was allegedly holding a firearm and made threats towards the occupants before discharging the firearm in the direction of the footpath. No one was injured.
He then fled in a vehicle which was intercepted by two detectives on Buckland Street, Harristown at around 3.20pm.
Police approached the vehicle and spoke to the male driver and male passenger before the driver accelerated away, temporarily trapping both detectives by their arms.
The officers were carried for several meters before they both managed to free themselves.
The vehicle was later found abandoned in nearby Warwick Street with
