Detectives from the Gold Coast CIB along with members of Task Force Maxima Road Policing Unit have charged two women with serious drug offences after a vehicle was intercepted at Ferry Road at Southport around midday yesterday.
It will be alleged during a search of the vehicle police located cocaine with a street value in access of $15,000, $2500 in cash, restricted drugs and other drug paraphernalia.
A 26-year-old Wynnum woman was arrested and charged with three counts each of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of restricted drugs, possession of property suspected of being proceeds of crime, and two counts each of forgery, possession of tainted property and possession of drug utensils.
A 23-year-old Alderley woman was arrested and charged with possession of dangerous drugs, possession of controlled drugs, possession of tainted property and possession of drug utensils.
Both women will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on March 26.
