A 57-year-old man has died following a two-vehicle crash north of Mackay today.
Initial investigations indicate the man was travelling north on the Bruce Highway around 3pm, when his Toyota Hilux crashed into a caravan travelling in the opposite direction.
Police and emergency services attended, however the man died at the scene. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The three people travelling with the caravan were not physically injured.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing with officers appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward.
