New assistant commissioners announced

Commissioner Katarina Carroll today announced the appointment of three new assistant commissioners to the Queensland Police Service (QPS).
Assistant Commissioner Kev Guteridge has been appointed to Central Region, taking over from Assistant Commissioner Clem O’Regan when he commences pre-retirement leave in April.
Assistant Commissioner Ben Marcus will lead the new Road Policing and Regional Support Command after Assistant Commissioner Mike Keating retires in September.
Assistant Commissioner Cheryl Scanlon has been appointed to the Security and Counter Terrorism Command.
Commissioner Carroll congratulated the officers on their promotions from the rank of chief superintendent.
“This is a significant achievement in their careers and I look forward to working with them in their new roles on the QPS Executive Leadership Team.”
These announcements form part of the next step in the Service Alignment Program following a strategic review of the QPS.
Commissioner Carroll said changes included merging some areas to better align resources based on capability and service delivery.
