Police hope an increase in the reward will bring in new information to help solve the murder of John Anthony Lazzaro at his Rochedale home in 2012.
The Queensland Government has announced today a reward of $500,000, an increase from the previous $250,000 reward, for any information that leads to the arrest or apprehension of a person for the murder of Mr Lazzaro (pictured).
Mr Lazzaro was shot dead at his home on Priestdale Road on the evening of Wednesday April 11, 2012.
Police are interested in speaking with anyone who may have associated with Mr Lazzaro in the twelve months prior to his murder, or has any information about his death.
The Lazzaro family dog ‘Kilo’ was also shot once during the incident but survived after undergoing emergency surgery.
Since the shooting of Mr Lazzaro 7 years ago, investigators have continued to work hard to solve this heinous crime.
