QPS Tactical First Aid Project named the winner of the World Class Policing Awards

The Queensland Police Service Tactical First Aid Project is demonstrating excellence in policing through the delivery of an innovative solution to a growing topical issue.
The project has been recognised as the World Class Policing Awards winner in London for doing so and for also achieving meaningful results in crucial and high-pressure situations.
The Tactical First Aid Project aims to assist officers in upholding the oath of protecting life and serving the community and sees that officers are trained in Tactical First Aid (TFA).
Senior Sergeant Michael Dwyer and Acting Sergeant Dustin Osborne accepted the award in London
Acting Sergeant Dustin Osborne of Fortitude Valley Station said TFA is enhancing training recipients’ ability to serve and protect.
“I see this as a huge step forward in modernising the way we maintain our oath to protect life and serve the community,” Acting Sergeant Osborne said.
“We made that oath to protect and serve all within the community
