Cairns Detectives have charged a man after another man was allegedly stabbed in Manoora this morning.
It will be alleged at around 7.10am a 28-year-old man was riding a bike along Moody Street when he stabbed a 45-year-old man known to him in the back with a knife as he travelled past.
The man fled the scene however was located a short time later by police and arrested.
The 45-year-old Cairns man sustained serious injuries including a punctured lung and was transported to Cairns Hospital.
A 28-year-old Manoora man has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and is due to appear in Cairns Magistrates Court this afternoon (February 18).
