A 36-year-old Burleigh Heads man has died in hospital after a traffic incident that occurred at Burleigh Heads in the early hours of Sunday morning June 24, 2018.
Police investigations are ongoing however Initial information suggests that a man was riding a bicycle at the intersection of Cedar Court and the Gold Coast Highway when it appears he lost control of the bike and struck a retaining wall.
He was located by a motorist who called emergency services and he has been taken to the Gold Coast University in a serious condition.
The Forensic Crash Unit are continuing their appeal to anyone that may have been in the area at the time and may have dashcam to contact them.
Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
