Around 1:15pm police lifted the emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) put in place at 11:30am today in relation to a gas leak in Cairns.
Please be advised that the Cairns CBD gas leak situation has now been successfully resolved.
Residents can return home and are thanked for their patience.
