Police have charged a man following their investigations into an armed robbery incident at Wharf Drive, Burnett Heads last Monday, April 9.
It will be alleged that at 3.15pm, three males confronted two men who were fishing at the location and demanded they hand over the keys to their vehicle.
The two men have refused and a physical altercation has ensued, resulting in the discharge of a firearm.
Both men sustained non-life-threatening injuries to their legs and were transported to Bundaberg Base Hospital for treatment.
A 26-year-old Innes Park man has been charged with two counts of unlawful wounding and one count each of unlawful possession of a weapon and dangerous conduct with a weapon.
The man was remanded in custody to re-appear before the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on April 18.
Investigations are continuing.
