Detectives investigating the armed robbery of a service station at Kingaroy last night have released images of two people who may be able to assist with inquiries.
Just before 11pm, the pair walked into the Youngman Street business armed with garden tool and demanded money from the male attendant. The employee refused, and when they attempted to leave the premises the main glass door locked causing them to be stuck inside.
As a result, one of them took a fire extinguisher off the wall and smashed a freezer before the second used it to smash a glass door and large glass window.
The pair then crawled through a hole in the glass with a stolen charity tin before leaving in a black 2011 Ford Fiesta parked at the back of the service station, believed to have been stolen from a Murgon address.
The employee was uninjured during the incident.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious traffic incident at Caboolture this afternoon.
Around 4.15pm, police were called to the intersection of Norfolk Esplanade and Boongaree Avenue following reports a cyclist had been struck by a vehicle.
Initial investigations indicate the rider exited Boongaree Avenue colliding with the station wagon, impacting heavily with the front of the vehicle and landing on the road.
The rider, a 24-year-old Clayfield man, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle was not physically injured.
Investigations are continuing.

Police are investigating a serious multi vehicle traffic crash that occurred in Bald Hills this afternoon.
Investigations to date indicate that a car that was travelling the north bound lanes of the Bruce Highway at 3.15pm lost control and crossed into the south bound lanes.
The car struck multiple vehicles and, as a result, a 71-year-old male motorcyclist and a 37-year-old driver of another vehicle were transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with serious injuries.
A number of other motorists were treated for a range of other injures which are believed to be non-life-threatening.
The Bruce Highway was shut for several hours but has since reopened.
The Forensic Crash Unit are requesting that anyone who was travelling in the area and may have dashcam or witnessed the crash to contact them.
Investigations are continuing.

Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred earlier today in Goomeri.
Initial information suggests that a man was riding a motorcycle with a group heading north on the Burnett Highway.
As the rider attempted to turn into Boonah Road, a four-wheel drive travelling behind the man crashed into the motorcycle.
A man in his 50s was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Police are continuing their appeal for information to help identify a man who may be able to assist police in relation to a suspicious fire at Chambers Flat on July 27.
At 8.15am, a fire ignited within a Holden Commodore sedan spreading to a nearby Ford Falcon sedan parked in a carport at the rear of a Rossmore Road home.
The flames spread to the premises, rendering the structure and vehicles damaged beyond repair.
The occupants, a man and women, were able to escape the dwelling at the time of the blaze.
They were treated at the scene by paramedics for smoke inhalation.
A crime scene was declared as detectives and forensic officers work to determine the cause of the fire.
Investigators are seeking assistance to help identify the man pictured who may be able to assist with their enquiries.
Investigations are continuing.
