Update: Armed robbery, Koongal

A man has been charged following the alleged armed robbery of a service station in Koongal on August 10.
It will be alleged around 9.20pm a man approached the business on Thozet Road riding a child-sized scooter.
He then went inside the store and entered a staff area where he allegedly threatened a 22-year-old female attendant with a nearby pair of scissors, demanding she open the till.
The woman complied and the man allegedly removed a sum of cash before demanding cigarettes.
The man then fled the store on the scooter with the money and cigarettes.
A 28-year-old Zilzie man was arrested yesterday and charged with armed robbery and is due to appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on August 13.

Dangerous driving charges, Sunshine Coast District

A man has been charged following a series of alleged dangerous driving incidents that occurred between Caboolture and Gympie early this morning.
Shortly after midnight, police patrolling in Caboolture attempted to intercept an alleged stolen vehicle on Beerburrum Road.
It will be alleged the car rammed a police vehicle, causing extensive damage before driving from the area.
Police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device on Steve Irwin Way at around 12.20am and continued to follow the vehicle as it travelled north on the Bruce Highway.
At around 1am, a second tyre deflation device was successfully deployed just south of Gympie and it will be further alleged police then apprehended a man nearby as he fled the vehicle.
No one was injured during the incident.

Armed robbery, Loganlea

Detectives are investigating an armed robbery at a business in Loganlea earlier today.
Around 12.20pm, a man entered the Sarah Street premises and demanded money whilst threatening a staff member with a machete.
The man fled the scene a short time later on Burchill Street towards Brabant Street with a quantity of cash.
No one was injured during the incident.
The man is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, approximately 175cm tall, medium build, wearing a white t-shirt wrapped around his head and black or dark coloured hoody with black shorts.
Investigations are continuing.

Update: Armed robbery, Manoora

Police investigating the alleged armed robbery of a Manoora convenience store yesterday have charged a teenager.
It will be alleged that around 11.30am a male entered a Reservoir Road business and demanded money whilst threatening a staff member with a knife.
He fled the scene a short time later in a northerly direction with a quantity of cash and a customer’s wallet which had been on the counter.
A 17-year-old boy has been charged with one count each of armed robbery, stealing, wilful damage and possession of a dangerous drug (cannabis).
No one was physically injured during the incident.
