Fatal traffic crash, Numinbah Valley

Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred in the Numinbah Valley yesterday afternoon.
Preliminary information indicates just after 4.30pm a sedan travelling south along the Nerang-Murwillumbah Road left the road and crashed into a large tree.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 72-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing.

Grievous bodily harm, Andergrove

Mackay detectives are investigating an incident in which a 36-year-old man sustained critical injuries in Andergrove this morning.
Around 10.15am, police were called to an address on Bedford Road following reports of an unconscious man lying on a driveway.
On arrival, police located a man with significant head injuries. A crime scene was established and investigations commenced.
A 36-year-old man was transported to the Mackay Base Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A short time ago, a 26-year-old man was arrested. He is assisting police with their inquiries.

Fatal traffic incident, South Brisbane

A cyclist critically injured in a single bicycle crash on the Go Between Bridge  Tuesday morning, passed away in hospital yesterday.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit continue into the cause.
Just before 6.30am, on Tuesday, April 17 emergency services were called to attend to a 65-year-old man who had crashed his bike while travelling south-east on the Go Between Bridge.
The man was found to have sustained a critical head injury and he was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, but sadly passed away yesterday afternoon.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them.
