A 52-year-old male inspector from Operations Support Command who was stood down from official duty with the Queensland Police Service has now been reinstated.
The officer was the subject of an investigation relating to drink driving whilst off duty.
The officer appeared before the Holland Park Magistrates Court on September 12 in relation to one charge of drink driving which has since been finalised by a plea of guilty.
The officer is still subject to disciplinary action.

Fatal traffic crash, Yandilla
Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred at Yandilla yesterday.
Just after 1pm, a four-wheel-drive was travelling south on the Gore Highway when it collided with a truck carrying cattle.
A 53-year-old Diamond Valley man, the sole occupant of the four-wheel-drive, was declared deceased at the scene as a result of his injuries.
Several cattle also died as a result of the collision.
The truck driver was not physically injured.
Officers from the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing to investigate.

Traffic crash, Morayfield
Police are investigating a traffic crash on the Bruce Highway at Morayfield this afternoon.
Preliminary investigations indicate, around 2pm a vehicle travelling south moved into the northbound lanes and collided with two vehicles, one of which was a marked police car.
Both drivers and a passenger in the civilian cars were transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries. The two officers in the police car were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Forensic Crash Unit are investigating.

PSPA revoked – Halletts Road, Redbank Plains
UPDATE: The PSPA has been revoked with no injuries or loss of property.
At 2.48pm police declared an emergency situation in Redbank Plains in relation to a bushfire.
The declaration of an emergency situation was made under the Public Safety Preservation Act and with the boundaries of Halletts Road, Griffiths Road and Sunbird Drive.

Police have declared an emergency situation in Redbank Plains this afternoon in relation to a bushfire.
The declaration of an emergency situation under the Public Safety Preservation Act was made at 2.48pm.
The declared zone is bounded by Halletts Road, Griffiths Road and Sunbird Drive.
Police are urging people not to enter the declared zone and to avoid any travel unless directed to by emergency services.
Update – Fatal motorbike crash, Capalaba
Investigators have launched an appeal for information following a fatal motorbike crash at Capalaba yesterday as they work to identify motorists who were in the area.
While investigators have already identified some vehicles in the area, they have released dashcam footage of a red sedan, possibly a Holden Commodore, they would like to speak with the driver as they may have relevant information.
Initial inquiries indicate the man was travelling westbound on Finucane Road around 3.40pm when he lost control of his motorbike near Elmhurst Street.
The 31-year-old Birkdale man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing for any witnesses who have not yet contacted them or anyone who may have additional dash cam vision to contact them.

Weapons and drugs seized, Torbanlea
Police have seized more than 40 firearms, illicit drugs and a hand grenade during a raid carried out on a Torbanlea property on September 13.
The stash was uncovered after a search warrant was executed on the Kent Street premises at 12.15pm by the Wide Bay Burnett Tactical Crime Squad with assistance from Maryborough Criminal Investigation Branch, Howard Station and Australian Border Force officers from Bundaberg and Gladstone.
Police located a total of 25 Category A firearms, one Category B and 15 Category H firearms as well as a large quantity of firearm parts and ammunition.
The search also saw the seizure of knuckledusters, a hand grenade, nunchaku, a number of knives as well as drug utensils, cannabis, Magic Mushrooms and synthetic cannabinoid products.
A 39-year-old Torbanlea man who was present during the search was issued a Notice to Appear on 11 drug and firearm offences and is due to front Hervey Bay Magistrates
Police officer suspended, Northern Region
A 27-year-old male senior constable from the Northern Region has been suspended from the Queensland Police Service after being charged with an offence of misconduct in relation to public office under the provisions of Section 92A of the Criminal Code Act 1899.
The officer is due to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on September 27.
The officer had previously been stood down on August 23, 2019 in relation to another matter.

Police arrest four in significant fraud investigation
Today, detectives from the Financial and Cyber Crime Group (State Crime Command) have closed a complex operation charging four people with a series of significant fraud charges relating to their previous involvement in the financial management of a Logan-based college.
Operation Quebec Consignment was commenced following a referral from the Department of Education in August 2018. This significant operation focused on four former senior staff and their involvement in the financial dealings of the college between 2012 and 2018.
“Given the serious nature of a number of the allegations, the matter was investigated by a team of investigators from the Major Fraud Investigation Unit within the Financial and Cyber Crime Group. It was a complex investigation and involved the detailed and lengthy analysis of financial documentation and banking records.

Fatal traffic crash, Eidsvold
Police are investigating a two-vehicle traffic crash north of Eidsvold yesterday.
Initial investigations indicate at about 11.15am a 4WD was heading south on Wuruma Dam Road and turned right onto the Burnett Highway. A Ford Ranger was heading north on the Burnett Highway and has collided with the side of the 4WD.
The driver and sole occupant of the 4WD was transported to Eidsvold Hospital but died from his injuries.
The other driver was not physically injured in the crash.
Forensic Crash Unit officers are investigating.
