Cairns detectives have charged a man and woman following two separate incidents at Kirwan on August 5 and 11 where a firearm was allegedly discharged into a residence and vehicle.
It will be alleged a 24-year-old woman attended a Gould Street address on August 5 around 11.50pm and fired a number of shots into a garage door and left the address in a dark coloured vehicle.
It is further alleged the same woman came back to the address on August 10 around 7.45pm with a 25-year-old man and as the residents were driving into the driveway, a red Mercedes Benz vehicle pulled up behind them and fired a number of shots into the rear of their Landcruiser.
Nobody was physically injured as a result of either of the incidents.

QPS seize 766kg of MDMA in targeted drug operation
The Queensland Police Service has led a major multi-agency investigation into an international organised crime syndicate linked to the distribution of large quantities of high purity drugs.
Following a complex investigation police have seized 766kg of MDMA powder in one of Queensland and Australia’s most significant drug seizures. As part of this operation and as a result of cross-agency international collaboration, 200kg of methamphetamine (ice) was also seized by police in New Zealand last week.
Yesterday police have conducted searches in Loganlea and in northern New South Wales with assistance from the New South Wales Police Force Drug and Firearm Squad. These warrants form part of the broader investigation into the international organised crime syndicate and resulted in the seizure of a number of vehicles connected to the operation, approximately $108,000 in cash and a quantity of drugs.

Serious assault, Ellen Grove
Police are investigating an incident where three men were seriously assaulted at a Waterford Road address last night.
A 35-year-old man received injuries to his chest, while a 40-year-old man received injuries to his arm and hand as a result of the assault.
A 38-year-old man received minor injuries, all three were taken to hospital.
Police investigations are continuing.

Update: Robberies, Gold Coast
Gold Coast police are appealing to the public to help locate a black Mazda CX-3, stolen from a woman following a number of attempted armed-robberies along the M1 on the southern Gold Coast on Friday August 9.
Around 3pm, a silver Ford Falcon with no registration plates was being driven dangerously south on the M1 near Burleigh when it stopped suddenly in front of a vehicle.
A woman and a man armed with a sharp implement exited the Falcon before threatening drivers and attempting to steal two different vehicles.
After their unsuccessful attempts, the pair continued south on the M1 before confronting another driver of a vehicle near the Palm Beach exit.
The pair forced a 67-year-old woman out of her black Mazda CX-3 hatchback before taking off in the car (similar to picture).

Wilful exposure, Carina
Police are searching for a man who has been approaching women in the Carina area and exposing himself.
There have been ten reported incidents since September 12 2018, and police are concerned at the escalating nature of the man’s behaviour, as six of the incidents have occurred since June.
During one incident a woman was also with her three children and during another, a woman was touched inappropriately.
All of the incidents occurred in the Carina area, with sightings of the man near Nyrang Street, Adelaide Street, Mayfield Road, Wattle Avenue, Waratah Avenue, Booligal Street, Willard Street, Hecklemann Street, Murchison Street and Maranoa Street.
Most of the incidents also occurred in the late afternoon, between 5.30 and 6.30pm, and predominately on a Wednesday or Friday.
The man has been commonly described by the woman involved as being between 20 and 30-years-old, Caucasian, around 174 centimetres tall with short, dark hair.

Assault, Toowoomba
Police have charged a 15-year-old boy after the alleged assault of a staff member at a high school in Harristown yesterday.
It will be alleged at 3.30pm the 51-year-old staff member was walking another student to the office when the 15-year-old boy approached him from behind, before striking him in the face.
The man was taken to hospital to receive treatment for facial injuries.
The boy was charged with count of assault occasioning bodily harm and will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.

Weapons charges, Millmerran area
Police have charged a man with dangerous conduct with a weapon after another man was injured in Millmerran Woods overnight.
It will be alleged around 9pm two men attended at an address in Ironbark Drive and threw a rock through the front window.
The male resident of the house has allegedly fired a rifle at the two men who ran away. One of the men received a graze to his right hip from a bullet.
A 51-year-old Millmerran Woods man has been charged with one count each of dangerous conduct with a weapon, assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed, acts intended to disable, possession of shortened firearm, unlawful possession of category B weapon (rifle), possession of explosive (ammunition) and possession of dangerous drug (Cannabis).
He is expected to appear at the Millmerran Magistrates Court on September 20.
Fatal traffic crash, Yimbun
Police are investigating a fatal, single vehicle traffic crash which occurred in Yimbun today.
At 2.35pm, a truck with a grain trailer was travelling on Brisbane Valley Highway when it rolled before catching fire.
Sadly, a 71-year-old man was located deceased at the scene. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The Forensic Crash Unit is working to determine the cause of the crash.
The Brisbane Valley Highway has since reopened.
Investigations are continuing.

Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, Southport
Police have charged a teenager over an alleged stolen vehicle which drove dangerously at Southport last night.
It will be alleged that sometime between 6.00pm on Wednesday August 7 and 8.00am on Thursday August 8, a white 2010 Holden Commodore Omega was stolen from the Gold Coast Highway at Mermaid Beach.
Around 9.30pm last night (Sunday August 11), patrolling officers sighted the alleged stolen vehicle at Ferry Road, Southport, bearing stolen registration plates.
PolAir proceeded to track the vehicle whilst it allegedly drove dangerously, crossing onto the wrong side of the road.
Stingers were successfully deployed on Regatta Street, and the car came to a stop on the corner of Southport-Nerang Road and Wardoo Street, after colliding with a Subaru Impreza.
A 17-year-old boy of no fixed address was arrested at the scene and has now been charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count each
Drug arrests, Caloundra
Police have arrested and charged a 51-year-old Maroochydore man and 26-year-old Caloundra woman in relation to numerous drug offences including trafficking this morning.
Police executed a search warrant at a Browning Boulevard address, where they located a quantity of cash, methylamphetamines, cannabis and drug paraphernalia.
Both have been charged with one count each of trafficking dangerous drugs, supplying dangerous drugs, possess item used in connection with drugs, possess property obtained from trafficking, fail to dispose of needles, unauthorised possession of a controlled drug and possess tainted property.
Police have objected to their bail and they will appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court tomorrow.
