Ipswich detectives have charged a man with several offences including acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm following investigations into an incident at Rosewood this afternoon in which a man was allegedly shot once in the leg.
Police were called to an Albert Street property around 1.30pm after a 43-year-old Brassall man had allegedly been shot by another man following a verbal altercation.
He was transported to hospital with a non-life-threatening leg injury.
Police attended a neighbouring property arresting a 31-year-old local man without incident.
Police will allege that during a search at the property drugs (heroin and methylamphetamine), cash and a rifle were located.

Wounding charge, Morayfield
Morayfield detectives have arrested and charged a man with unlawful wounding after a man presented at Caboolture Hospital early this morning with two stab wounds.
Around 5am a 34-year-old Beaudesert man attended Caboolture Hospital for treatment to two wounds, one in abdomen and the other his back.
Police were notified and an investigation commenced which culminated in a pursuit of an alleged stolen vehicle this afternoon and the subsequent arrest of a 35-year-old Morayfield man.
Around 2.35pm officers spotted the alleged stolen vehicle in University Drive, Meadowbrook. The vehicle failed to stop for police and sped off at speed.
Polair2 tracked the vehicle as it travelled through Logan and the Gold Coast before the vehicle stopped at a service station on Boundary Road, Wacol around 3.55pm with police quickly on-scene and arresting the man without incident.

Fatal traffic crash, Marian
Police are investigating a fatal single vehicle traffic crash that occurred at Marian early this morning.
Initial investigations indicate at about 4.50am, a vehicle travelling on Anzac Avenue left the road and collided with a tree.
The male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No one else was injured as a result of the crash.
Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Dangerous driving and motor vehicle stealing charges, Woodridge and Ormeau
Five teenage boys, aged between 12 and 18, were arrested by Logan police last night after a car was allegedly stolen in Woodridge.
A 45-year-old local man was reversing his vehicle out of a driveway in Garfield Street, Woodridge around 7.40pm on Saturday, December 8 when he was approached by a male teenager allegedly armed with a metal pole.
It will be alleged the teen threatened the man demanding he get out of the car. The teen then jumped into the driver’s seat and was joined by a second teenage boy who was standing nearby, before the pair sped off in the vehicle.
Patrolling police spotted the alleged stolen vehicle driving through Woodridge at around 8.25pm with the vehicle failing to stop for police.
Polair located the vehicle soon after and began tracking it.

Wounding charge, Cleveland
Police have charged a 17-year-old boy with wounding following a disturbance at Cleveland yesterday morning (December 8) during which time two men were allegedly stabbed.
It will be alleged that a verbal argument occurred between the trio at a hotel in Middle Street at around 12.20am before the teen left the premises.
It will be further alleged that all three became involved in another argument in Shore Street a short time later during which time two men, aged 20 and 22, were both allegedly stabbed.
The men were transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with the 20-year-old in a critical condition with alleged stab wounds to his neck and torso. The 22-year-old man was also transported to hospital with a non-life-threatening wound to his torso.
Both are from Birkdale.
Police arrested a 17-year-old Birkdale boy at Birkdale around 2.30am yesterday. He has been charged with unlawful wounding and acts intended to maim.

Violent burglary, Tara
Police are investigating a violent burglary incident that occurred at Tara early this morning.
At about 2.30am, three men armed with a knife and a piece of wood forced entry into a caravan on Milne Street and assaulted the male occupant.
The man managed to fight the three men off, forcing them to flee the scene.
The man received minor injures only.
Damage was caused to the caravan door and window.
Investigations are continuing.

Armed robbery charge, Westcourt
Cairns police have arrested a boy and a man, aged 17 and 20, following investigations into an overnight incident at Westcourt in which it is alleged the occupants of a home were threatened and a car stolen.
It is alleged around 11.30pm on December 7, two male persons attended a Dillon Street address at which time a man entered the dwelling and threatened the two male occupants, aged 37 and 39, with a knife.
A brief scuffle occurred inside the residence before the armed man allegedly stole a vehicle and fled the scene.
The second male person, who had been waiting outside, fled on foot and was soon taken into custody in nearby Lennon Street by officers who responded to a Triple Zero (000) call.
Police will allege the stolen vehicle crashed into a traffic light at the intersection of Enmore Street and Reservoir Road, Manoora where the man was taken into custody.

Police are investigating a fatal single vehicle traffic crash that occurred at Yarraden, 130km east of Pormpuraaw yesterday evening.
Initial investigations indicate at about 7pm, a vehicle travelling on Strathgordon Road left the roadway and rolled.
A male occupant of the vehicle was located deceased at the scene.
Two other occupants from the vehicle walked to a cattle station in the area to raise the alarm.

Serious traffic crash, MacGregor
A 30-year-old Upper Coomera man was critically injured in a two vehicle crash at MacGregor this morning.
Preliminary information indicates that shortly before 2am both vehicles were travelling southbound on the Pacific Motorway when one of the cars crashed into the rear of the other vehicle.
The 30-year-old driver of the front vehicle was trapped for a period of time before being removed and transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
Police will allege the male driver of the other vehicle fled the scene on foot and was located by police in nearby Bleasby Road at around 2.15am.
The 35-year-old from Oxenford was transported to hospital for assessment.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing with officers appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dash cam vision to contact police (details below).

Man assaulted and robbed, Logan Central
Logan detectives are investigating after a man was assaulted and robbed in Logan Central last night.
The 25-year-old from Woodridge was walking in Logan Gardens Park around 10.10pm when he was approached by three men.
The man was hit with a stick and punched about the body and head before the trio fled with this mobile phone and wallet.
The man was transported to hospital for treatment to lacerations and bruising.
All three men are described as aged in their late teens or early 20s, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance. One man was approximately 183cms tall and was wearing a white t-shirt and greyish coloured pants.
