Robbery investigation, Brisbane City

Police are appealing for public assistance to help identify a man who may be able to assist with enquiries in relation to a robbery that occurred in Brisbane City on November 8.
At about 9.10am, a woman walking along Adelaide Street was approached by a man who has stolen her handbag.
After a brief struggle, the man forcibly took the handbag from the woman and attempted to flee the scene.
A male member of the public who witnessed the incident came to the woman’s aid, intervening and was able to retrieve the handbag.
The man fled the scene on foot without the handbag.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police are appealing for the man depicted in the vision or any members of the public who know his identify to contact police as it is believed he may be able to assist police with their inquiries.

Sexual assault charges, Bracken Ridge

Police have charged a man with sexual assault following an incident during a massage therapy session at a Bracken Ridge practice.
It is alleged the man inappropriately touched a 32-year-old woman during a massage therapy session in April this year.
A 55-year-old Dakabin man has been charged with sexual assault and will appear in Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on November 15.
Investigators would like to speak to any women who may have had a similar experience in the Bracken Ridge area.

Serious assault charges, Barney Point

Police have charged two men after a woman was assaulted at a residence in Barney Point this evening.
At 7.20pm, two men approached a house on Brisbane Road and it will be alleged that the pair started shouting.
A 71-year-old woman exited the house and told them to leave it it will be further alleged that the pair then damaged a window and a gate at the property before hitting the woman in the stomach with a metal bar.
Police have located two men nearby and took them both into custody.
The woman was treated for non-life-threatening injuring.
A 20-year-old Barney Point man and a 21-year-old Gladstone man have both been charged with one count each of serious assault of a person over the age of 60, wilful damage and forcible entry.
They are both due to appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Serious traffic crash, Springwood

Police are appealing for witnesses or dash-camera footage following a serious traffic crash at Springwood yesterday afternoon.
Around 4.50pm, a 55-year-old man was riding a 2012 blue Harley Davidson motorcycle along the Logan Road on-ramp, towards the southbound lanes of the Pacific Motorway, when a 2004 blue Honda Accord sedan has collided with the motorcycle.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the driver stopped temporarily and had a brief conversation with a second motorcyclist, who witnessed the crash and also stopped at the crash-scene, before both parties left.
The 55-year-old motorcyclist suffered fractures and lacerations and was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A 21-year-old Woodridge man is now assisting the Forensic Crash Unit with its investigation.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash – or may have dash-camera footage relating to the crash – to contact police.

Fatal caravan fire, Tara

Police are investigating a fire which destroyed a caravan and claimed a life, in Tara this morning.
Around 10am, emergency crews were called to an Orchard Road address following reports of a caravan engulfed by flames.
The fire was extinguished however the remains of a person was discovered inside the caravan.
A formal identification process will be carried out to confirm the identity of the deceased.
A crime scene has been established, as officers work to determine the cause of the blaze.
Investigations are continuing.

Indecent assault, South Brisbane

Detectives have released images of a man who may be able to assist police with their enquiries into an indecent assault in South Brisbane on October 6.
Preliminary investigations indicate at around 5:30pm a woman was approached by a group of men as she stood on a bus platform.
As the men walked past the girl one of the men inappropriately touched the 18-year-old woman.
When she challenged the man he pushed her to ground, before walking away.
The man was last seen walking towards the Brisbane CBD, across the Victoria Bridge.
The woman did not require medical treatment as a result of the incident.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance with a large tattoo on his left calf and was last seen wearing aqua shorts, an aqua shirt with white stripes, a red hat and white shoes.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police.

Update: Wounding, Slacks Creek

Police have charged a 26-year-old man for allegedly stabbing another man during an altercation at Slacks Creek last night.
It will be alleged that around 8.30pm, an altercation occurred at a residence on Wagensveldt Street, during which a 23-year-old local man sustained a single wound to his chest.
He was transported to hospital in a critical condition.
Last night, a 26-year-old Carina Heights man was taken into custody.
This morning he was charged with one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
He is scheduled to appear at the at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court this afternoon, Thursday November 8, 2018.

Drug charges, Mackay

Detectives have charged a man with drug offences following the execution of a search warrant at a residence in East Mackay yesterday.
Around 2pm it will be alleged detectives uncovered substantial quantities of cannabis at a McIntyre Street address as part of investigations into the drug supply in the Mackay District.
It will be alleged three large sealed bags of compressed cannabis and containers containing loose amounts of cannabis were discovered throughout the house.
A number of utensils including digital scales and grinders were also allegedly located at the property.
A 22-year-old man has been charged with one count each of possessing dangerous drugs and possess drug utensils.
He is expected to appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court on November 27.

Wounding investigation, Slacks Creek

Police are investigating after a man was allegedly stabbed during an altercation with another man at Slacks Creek last night (November 7).
Officers were called to a Wagensveldt Street address around 8.35pm where a 23-year-old local man was found with a single wound to his chest.
He was transported to hospital in a critical condition.
A 26-year-old man was taken into custody at a Carina Heights address. He is currently assisting police with their investigations.

Dangerous driving and property charges, Sunshine Coast

Police have charged a man with several offences including dangerous driving after a vehicle allegedly fled from police in Wurtulla last night, November 7.
Around 7.40pm police were called to Oceanic Drive concerning a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival the vehicle sped off and failed to stop for police.
Police followed the vehicle with the driver allegedly travelling at excessive speed in a number of back streets before turning into Gannawarra Drive where Polair2 commenced tracking the car.
The vehicle travelled north on the Bruce Highway before exiting onto the Nambour Bli Bli Road heading towards Nambour.
The vehicle at one point turned into Nicol Street where police will allege a marked police vehicle was rammed, damaging the front bumper and bonnet of the vehicle, when the suspect vehicle sped off.
The vehicle momentarily stopped in Dulong Road where two passengers, a man and women, got out of the car however they were quickly taken into
