Ram raid, Wulguru

Police are investigation a ram raid at a petrol station in Wulguru overnight.
Around 11.55pm, a man used a utility to reverse through the glass door at a petrol station on University Road.
Once inside, the man took money from the cash register and then fled in the utility.
A man was arrested in Annandale a short time later.
Investigators are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or who was in the vicinity between 11.45pm and 12.20am and has dashcam vision to contact police.

Update 1: Homicide, Redcliffe

Detectives continue to investigate the fatal stabbing of a teenage boy in Redcliffe overnight.
Police have located the driver of the white wagon mentioned in the previous media release and the car and driver have been excluded from investigations.
Police are still seeking to speak to three men in relation to the incident. Police believe two of these men were travelling on a pushbike prior to and after the offence.
It is believed the two men travelling on the pushbike rode North on Oxley Avenue Redcliffe at around 8:10pm.
Investigators are urging anyone who has any information about the incident or who were in the vicinity and has dashcam footage to contact police.

Update 1: Homicide, Lockyer Waters

Gatton detectives investigating the overnight death of a 40-year-old Fernvale man have charged a man with murder.
Police located a 34-year-old Laidley Heights man at the Markai Road, Lockyer Waters address. He has been charged with one count of murder and is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday, March 16, 2020.
Both men were known to each other.

Preliminary investigations indicate around 12.15am, police were called to an incident at Markai Road and located a man decease from a gunshot wound.
A crime scene was declared, and a man is assisting police with the investigation.

Arrest of property offenders, Townsville

Detectives from Townsville’s Property Crime and Tactical Crime squads yesterday arrested three people on 33 property and vehicle related offences.
Detective, searching for a man wanted in relation to a number of alleged property offences, including the break-in of homes and the theft of motor vehicles in the Townsville area since mid-February, attended an address in Halloran Street, Hermit Park around 11am yesterday.
 At this address police located and arrested an 18-year-old Gladstone man and charged him with 22 offences including five counts of burglary and five counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and two counts each of attempted burglary, burglary or alternative receiving, enter premises and commit an indictable offence and attempt to enter premises.
Police conducted a search at the address and located a quantity of alleged stolen property including jewellery, keys including car keys, credit cards and mobile phones.
Detectives also arrested an 18-year-old Gladstone woman and a 17-year-old

Police are investigating a fatal stabbing of a teenager in Redcliffe overnight.
Around 8.10pm, an altercation occurred between two groups of males in a car park on Anzac Avenue and a 15-year-old boy from Clontarf was stabbed in the chest.
He was transported to Redcliffe Hospital where he later died.
Police want to speak with three men in relation to the incident. Police believe two of these men were travelling on a pushbike prior to and after the offence.
Investigators are urging anyone who has any information about the incident or who were in the vicinity and has dashcam footage to contact police.
Police are also wanting to speak to the driver of a white wagon (pictured) that exited a carpark shortly after the incident occurred.

Burglary and fraud, Springfield Lakes

Police investigating a burglary at Springfield Lakes in January believe a man may be able to assist with their inquiries.
On Monday, January 27, an unknown man has allegedly entered an Emerson Close address and stole a small quantity of jewellery and credit cards.
The credit cards were used the next day at a Compton Road store in Underwood store.
The man, or anyone who may recognise him, is urged to contact police.
Investigations are continuing.

Update: Taxi driver assaulted, Sarina

Detectives investigating the assault of a taxi driver at Sarina last week are seeking assistance to identify a man that could assist with inquiries.
The man is believed to be a teenager of dark complexion and a thin build.
Around 6pm, March 6, a motorist noticed a taxi had crashed into a power pole on Brewers Road.
The 62-year-old man sustained injuries to the right side of his chest and emergency services were notified.
Police are also seeking information from anyone who may have seen a back pack (as pictured) throughout the day of Friday, March 6.
The man pictured, or anyone who may know him, is urged to contact police.

Shooting incident, Amamoor

Detectives have commenced a major investigation following the shooting of a 22-year-old man at Amamoor, south of Gympie overnight.
Around 8.15pm the man was driven, in the back of a utility, to Gympie Hospital with a gunshot wound to his head.
The man was treated by doctors before being transferred to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Following police inquiries, a crime scene was established at a Frayne Road property in Amamoor.
An Investigation Centre (IC) has commenced at Gympie Police Station as inquiries continue.

Fatal traffic crash, Seventy Mile

Police are investigating after a man operating a mower was killed in a traffic crash at Seventy Mile near Charters Towers this morning.
Just after 10:00am a man on a tractor mowing the edge of the roadway was struck by a semi-trailer travelling on the Gregory Developmental Road.
A 60-year-old Broughton man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The truck driver was not physically injured.
Investigators from the Forensic Crash Unit are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may have dash cam vision to please contact police.
The road remains closed in both directions.
