Police have charged three people with a range of offences following an incident in Surfers Paradise last night.
At 9pm, officers were performing routine patrols around the Gold Coast when they observed a white BMW sedan bearing false registration plates and containing three people, in Surfers Paradise.
The crew followed the BMW for some time, at one point losing sight of the vehicle before it was again located driving down Monarco Street off the Gold Coast Highway. The vehicle then drove down a dead-end street and parked in a driveway.
Officers approached the vehicle and subsequent search of the vehicle yielded 120g of Methylamphetamine, utensils, a stolen credit card and suspected stolen property (Jaguar car key).
All three people in the vehicle were arrested and charged without incident.
The vehicle had been stolen from a burglary in Logan on March 6.

Charges following fatal plane crash, Agnes Water
Detectives from Gladstone Criminal Investigation Branch have today charged the pilot of a plane that crashed near Agnes Water in 2017, resulting in the death a female passenger.
The incident involving a private aircraft happened at around 11am on January 10 on the eastern side of Middle Island.
A 29-year-old woman from the United Kingdom was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A 21-year-old female Irish national sustained critical injuries and a 13-year-old male passenger was transported to Rockhampton Hospital with minor injuries.
The 67-year-old male pilot was also seriously injured.
Ongoing investigations by Gladstone CIB, with the assistance of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, led to the arrest today of the 67-year-old man.
He has been charged with one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and one count of grievous bodily harm and is due to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on May 11.
Significant drug seizure, Gold Coast
Police have charged eight people with trafficking and possession of dangerous drugs charges following the closure of Operation Romeo Cosine.
Yesterday officers from the Gold Coast Major and Organised Crime Squad and Taskforce Maxima-Organised Crime Gangs Group executed a number of search warrants targeting individuals involved in the distribution of cocaine.
It will be alleged that during a search warrant at Surfers Paradise, a man who ran from police produced a knife at officers before being taken into custody. This person was allegedly found to be in possession of one-kilogram of cocaine.
As a result of the search warrants police seized cocaine, cannabis, mobile phones, a knife, equipment used to compress and stamp cocaine, and a motor vehicle.
Detective Senior Sergeant Ian Galpin of the Major and Organised Crime Squad said QPS were actively seizing on every available opportunity to target groups who continue to engage in illicit and criminal behaviour.

Sunshine Coast police have seized drugs and weapons during a series of raids carried out over the past two days which resulted in 13 people being charged.
Search warrants were executed at a total of 17 local addresses with officers locating methamphetamine and cannabis as well as two taser-type devices and a firearm.
A 19-year-old man has been charged with possessing dangerous drugs after nearly one kilo of cannabis was located at a Maroochydore address. He is due in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on March 26.
Police drug detection dogs assisted in the location of a quantity of methylamphetamine at an address in Caloundra. Investigations are continuing in relation to this matter. A 29-year-old woman at the location was charged with a number of offences including possession of utensils and stealing.

Queensland and New South Wales Police join forces to target Outlaw Motorcycle Gang
Police from Queensland and New South Wales have today joined forces in targeting the Lone Wolf Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.
More than 200 officers conducted searches on the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sydney and Northern New South Wales as part of investigations targeting members and associates of the Lone Wolf Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.
The searches are linked to the investigation into the murders of Shane Ross and Cameron Martin at Tallebudgera and a separate kidnapping and torture investigation which occurred in Ipswich last year.
Shane Ross and Cameron Martin were killed in an execution-style murder on 18 October 2019. Investigations undertaken have linked a white BMW X5 bearing cloned plates 498YRF to this crime and police are seeking assistance in locating the vehicle. Police searches this morning concentrated on the Palmvale area in Northern New South Wales where this vehicle has been linked to.

Stolen truck, Jimboomba
A man has been arrested after allegedly stealing a grocery delivery truck and driving dangerously through Jimboomba this morning.
It will be alleged, around 5:20pm yesterday afternoon (March 12) a man stole a five tonne Hino Pantec delivery truck from Anakie Drive in Cornubia.
At 8:00pm, police observed the truck travelling along the Mount Lindsay Highway towards Jimboomba.
It will be further alleged the man drove the truck on the curb and along the footpath then through bushland and gardens to evade police. The truck was also observed driving erratically on the incorrect side of the road.
Officers were attempting to overtake the truck on Undullah Road, when the driver actively swerved the truck towards the marked police car causing damage to it.
The driver then stopped the truck and on two occasions he reversed the truck into another marked police car, causing extensive damage to a second police vehicle.

Police make appeal over 1992 Christmas Eve homicide, Gold Coast
Homicide detectives are today launching a fresh public appeal into the murder of Colin Woodhouse on a Gold Coast roadside on Christmas eve 1992.
Around 12.30am on December 24 1992, then 30-year-old Colin Woodhouse was driving home to his Worongary home after his shift as the food and beverage manager at Myer Pacific Fair when he was fatally shot outside his vehicle on Quambone Street Worongary.
Only minutes from his home, Colin stopped to help a man standing next to a light-coloured sedan parked on the side of the road. He was shot three times at close range.
Police believe the driver of the vehicle was Colin’s killer and that the sedan was staged to look broken-down to attract assistance.

Assault investigation finalised, Mansfield
The Queensland Police Service has finalised its investigation into the reported assault of a 13-year-old boy at Mansfield on December 23.
Following extensive inquiries, including witness interviews and medical advice, detectives have concluded there is insufficient evidence to substantiate the complaint.
No further police action will be taken in relation to the assault complaint.
Update 4 – Operation Romeo Masking: Tallebudgera homicide investigation
Police have released further vision as part of their on-going investigation into the murders of 36-year-old Shane Ross and 47-year-old Cameron Martin.
Officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen a white BMW X5 SUV travelling between NSW and the Gold Coast on October 18, 2019 to contact them.
Dashcam footage provided by a member of the public shows a white BMW X5 parked on the side of Tallebudgera Creek Road near Martin Shiels Park at Tallebudgera at 8.45pm on Friday, October 18 last year. The vehicle of interest had cloned (fake) registration plates 498YRF attached to it.
The vehicle was observed driving northbound on the Pacific Highway, Chinderah NSW earlier at 8pm (Queensland time) with the same cloned plates recorded on the vehicle.
At 8.10pm, the vehicle is captured travelling northbound through the Tugun tunnel before taking the Tallebudgera exit.

Break and enter, Toowoomba City
Detectives from Toowoomba CIB are investigating the break and enter of a workshop on Goggs Street early yesterday morning.
At around 2.30am on March 11, a vehicle was used to gain entry by reversing though the front doors of the business.
Once inside, the male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle stole five fire fighting pumps (pictured).
The doors to the building were extensively damaged during the incident.
Police would like to speak to a man described as Caucasian with a proportionate build, wearing a long-sleeved poncho and a cap.
Anyone who has knowledge of who the man may be, and the location of the pumps is urged to contact police.
The vehicle used had been stolen from Wilsonton on March 10 and was located yesterday morning in Newtown.
Investigations are continuing.
