A 50-year-old Chermside woman who was rescued from a house fire in Chermside on Wednesday, has died early this morning.
Around 4am February 5, police and emergency services were called to a house well alight on Bundal Street.
The woman was transported to hospital in a critical condition.
On February 6, a 43-year-old Spring Hill man was charged with attempted murder (domestic violence offence) and arson (domestic violence offence) and he appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday, February 7, where he was remanded in custody.
The man will re-appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow (February 10) and his charge will be upgraded to murder (domestic violence offence).

House fire, Sunnybank Hills
Police are investigating the cause of a house fire at Sunnybank Hills last night.
Emergency services were called to a Hellawell Road address around 10.20pm to find the single storey brick house well involved.
The fire was eventually brought under control however the house had sustained extensive damage.
The house is currently vacant and no one was injured.
Police have declared a crime scene while investigations continue.
Update: Armed robbery, Elanora
Detectives have charged a man following investigations into the alleged armed robbery of an Elanora jewellery store last month.
Around 4am on January 17, it will be alleged two masked men used a stolen gold 2006 Toyota Rav4 station-wagon to smash their way into the northern end of a shopping centre on Guineas Creek Road.
The pair then exited the vehicle and smashed their way into a nearby jewellery store, located within the shopping centre.
It will further be alleged the pair subsequently stole a quantity of jewellery before fleeing in the stolen vehicle.
The stolen car was later located engulfed in flames at Ellioh Court, Elanora.
An 18-year-old Coomera man has been charged with serious assault, enter premises with intent, enter premises and commit, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, arson, drive without a licence and fraud.
He appeared in Southport Magistrates Court today where he was remanded in custody to reappear on February

A man has been charged following an incident at a Southport clothing business this morning.
Shortly after 2am police were called to the Nerang Street store after an alert to the store’s owner to the presence of someone inside.
When officers arrived, it will be alleged they observed a man inside attempting to flee towards the back and through the ceiling.
It will be alleged the man went to the roof and refused to come down.
Police were able to speak with the man and with the assistance of other agencies he was arrested without incident.
The store sustained some minor damage.
A 37-year-old Surfers Paradise man has been charged with one count each of enter premise and commit an indictable offence, and wilful damage.
He is expected to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court this afternoon.

Building fire, Goondiwindi
Police are appealing for information about the cause of a building fire at Goondiwindi on Sunday night.
Around 11:30pm, police and emergency services were called to a fire at the rear of an electrical goods store on Marshall Street.
Firefighters gained control of the fire just after 4am on Monday morning.
Police established a crime scene as they worked with fire investigators to determine the cause of the fire, which remains unknown.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time to come forward.

Update – Stolen trailer, Daisy Hill
A Gold Coast man has been charged following a public appeal last week in relation to the alleged theft of a work trailer in Daisy Hill.
Officers from Springwood executed a search warrant at a Pimpama address on January 30 where it will be alleged a vehicle of interest involved in this offence and a number of stolen tools (pictured) were located.
A 30-year-old Pimpama man has been charged with one count of possession of stolen property and is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on March 12.
The stolen trailer has since been recovered dumped at Pimpama.

Traffic crash appeal, Slack Creek
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of a serious traffic incident involving a motorcycle and vehicle at Slacks Creek last week.
Initial inquiries indicate around 8am on Tuesday, January 28, the motorcycle rider was struck by a Hyundai Tucson on the Pacific Highway service road outside the car dealership in heavy rain.
The rider, a 29-year-old man, was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious leg injuries.
The driver of the sedan, a 52-year-old man, was not injured in the crash.
Investigators are appealing for anyone travelling in the vicinity around the time of the crash, with dashcam footage, to contact them.
Investigations are continuing.

Located kayak, Brisbane River, Milton
Water Police are appealing for public assistance to identify the owner of a kayak which was located this morning at Milton.
Around 6:45am an orange two-seater “Prijon” kayak was sighted located wedged on the rocks of the northern bank of Milton Reach, Brisbane River.
A paddle, red net, black beanie and grey canvas cover was located with the kayak (see photos).
Any person who may have seen the kayak or has further information is urged to contact police.

Assault occasioning bodily harm, Burleigh Heads
A man has been charged following what investigators are describing as an alleged unprovoked assault on a Gold Coast security guard overnight.
Shortly before 11.30pm, a 37-year-old man was walking along the Gold Coast Highway when it will be alleged he used a skateboard to strike the side mirror of a vehicle driving past.
A 38-year-old man driving the hatchback pulled over and attempted to speak with the man about the damage.
It will be alleged the man then hit the victim up to 12 times on the head, back and arms.
Police were called when a passer-by intervened.
The 38-year-old victim was transported by paramedics for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.
A 37-year-old Burleigh Waters man has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, wilful damage and contravene a police direction.
He will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on February 17.

Fatal motorcycle crash, Killarney
A man has died following a motorcycle crash in Killarney this afternoon.
Preliminary investigations indicate the man was travelling south on Border Road around 3.10pm when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a gully.
The 49-year-old Legume (NSW) man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Forensic Crash investigators are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may have dash cam vision to contact police.
