Retired officers celebrate 60 years since graduation

A group of retired Queensland Police Officers have reunited to celebrate the 60th anniversary of their graduation from the Queensland Police Academy.
On Friday, March 20, the former officers joined together to mark the anniversary of being sworn in to Queensland Police.

As Cadets, some joined when they were as young as 15.5 years old.
On turning 19, they started their police training with three months of intense study in law and police duties at the Police Depot on Petrie Terrace. They also studied first aid, life saving, and civil defence.
