Police are investigating a single vehicle traffic crash about 50km north of Dingo this morning.
Preliminary inquiries indicate about 7.30am a Ford ute was travelling north on the Fitzroy Development Road when the vehicle has left the road and hit a tree.
The driver, a man in his forties who was the only occupant of the ute, died at the scene.
Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Burglary with violence, Karrabin
Detectives are investigating a burglary which occurred at a home on Karrabin Rosewood Road, Karrabin on Monday, October 7.
At about 6:30am a 71-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man were woken by a noise at the front door.
The man opened the front door and saw two females and a male, all unknown to him.
The man demanded money and the victim replied he didn’t have any and closed and locked the front door.
The three offenders then entered the house through a rear sliding door and the male was armed with a machete and was waving it around.
One of the female offenders was armed with a bottle of liquid and has squirted the liquid on the 73-year-old-man and threatening to light the liquid.
The 71-year-old woman has come out of the bedroom and was assaulted by one of the female offenders who pulled her to the ground then commenced to kick her multiple times
Arson investigation, Karalee
Police are seeking public assistance as they investigate an arson that occurred at Karalee State School on Monday, October 7.
Emergency services were called to the address at approximately 7:00pm following reports of a building on fire.
A classroom received internal damage however nobody was injured as a result of the fire.
Investigators have released images and CCTV of a person who may be able to assist police with their inquiries.
Anyone with information or dash cam footage from Arthur Summersvilles Road on Monday October 7 is urged to contact police.

Armed robbery, Mountain Creek
Police are investigating the armed robbery of a bakery in Mountain Creek this morning.
At around 7.50am a man entered the business on Karawatha Drive armed with a knife.
The man demanded money from a female staff member before fleeing the scene on foot and was last seen running towards Molakai Drive.
No one was physically injured during the robbery.
The man is described as wearing a long sleeve jumper and long pants.

Dangerous driving charge, Stuart
A man has been charged after allegedly failing to stop for police in Stuart yesterday morning.
It will be alleged at 9.47am a vehicle filled up at a Calcium service station on the Flinders Highway and left without paying for the fuel. The white Nissan Patrol was stolen from a Kirwan Street address in the early hours of October 7.
Police observed the vehicle a short time later travelling north on the Flinders Highway at speed and crossing to the wrong side of the road.
At 10:25am police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device at Roseneath causing the right rear tyre to be blown. Police commenced a pursuit however the vehicle continued to drive north before leaving the road and rolling near Gully Street at Stuart.
The driver and sole occupant was taken into custody and transported to Townsville Hospital as a precaution before been charged at the watch house.

Break and enter, Logan
Police are investigating the break and enter and robbery of a jewellery store at a shopping centre at Logan in the early hours of this morning.
Around 2.20am, a stolen red 2015 Nissan X-Trail four-wheel drive with Queensland registration 679 WJH was driven through the Piazza entrance to the Bryant Road shopping centre, through the food court and to a jewellery store. Three males dressed in dark clothing and their faces covered and have forced entry to the jewellery store and stolen an amount of jewellery.
They have then got back into the vehicle and left the scene through the broken glass door.
The 4WD was located on fire at Shailer Park around 3.10am.
This vehicle had been stolen from a Logan Village address on October 3, 2019.

Murder charge, Lockhart River
Police have charged a woman following the death of a man in Lockhart River yesterday afternoon.
Around 1pm, police were called after a man was stabbed at Illa Street.
The man was transported to the Lockhart River clinic where he was declared deceased.
A woman was arrested a short time later and was later charged with murder.
She is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrate Court via videolink from Lockhart River today.

Fatal traffic crash, Townsville
Police are investigating the circumstances of a fatal traffic crash at Townsville earlier tonight.
Just after 7.30pm, a car attempted to turn out of a driveway onto Ross River Road when it struck a five-year-old boy who was riding his bicycle along the footpath with his father.
Members of the public rendered first aid prior to the arrival of emergency services.
Paramedics transported the boy to Townsville Hospital where he sadly passed away a short time later.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident to come forward to police.
Investigations are continuing.

Protest charges, Brisbane CBD
Police have arrested 29 people following protest activity in the Brisbane CBD today.
The people, ranging in age from 19 to 75, will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on a range of charges including being a pedestrian on a roadway causing an obstruction, obstruct police and contravene direction or requirement.
Around 6am, it will be alleged a man climbed over the Story Bridge and dangled in a harness.
Officers negotiated with the man and at approximately 11:30am he was safely brought up by specialist officers and taken into custody without further incident.
A 49-year-old Brandy Creek man has been charged with unregulated high-risk activity and is due to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 9.
At around 8am a vehicle drove along George Street and dropped barrels containing concrete and other objects at the intersection of Ann & George Street.

Police have declared an emergency situation at Laidley this afternoon due to a developing bush fire threat.
The declaration of an emergency situation under the Public Safety Preservation Act was made just before 3pm.
The declared zone is bounded by Railway Street, Drayton Road, Rosewood-Laidley Road, Old Grandchester Road, Range Crescent, Patrick Street and Vaux Street.
If you are in the area, leave immediately if it is safe to do so. If you are outside the area, do not try and enter.
