Today, police from Queensland and New South Wales, the Australian Federal Police and Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) closed a joint operation aimed at disrupting outlaw motorcycle and organised crime gang members and their associates.
Operation Falcon 2018 involved police from Queensland Police Service’s Taskforce Maxima, Major and Organised Crime Squad (Gold Coast), Gold Coast Rapid Action and Patrols Group and PSRT.
The cross-border operation targeted OMCG activity in the Tweed-Byron Police District and southeast Queensland corner and was primarily designed to bring police and their partner agencies together in collaboration to effectively target the activities of OMCG members and their associates.
Queensland Police executed a number of search warrants on the Gold Coast and seized drugs and weapons. Police and members of QCS Community Corrections also conducted drug testing on OMCG members during the operation.

Indecent exposure, Mount Isa
Mount Isa detectives have released images to help locate a man, following two separate incidents where a man approached young girls and exposed his genitals.
The first incident was during the day on Fourth Avenue on September 11.
The second incident occurred around Pamela Street on the afternoon of Monday October 1.
The man is described as a pacific islander, approximately 175cms tall, with a thin build, brown hair and tanned complexion. He had dark curly hair on top, cut short on both sides and at the back.
Detective Senior Sergeant Clark said: “We are seeking assistance from the community to identify the male (pictured) as he may have information about these incidents.”

Stealing with violence, Hervey Bay
Detectives investigating an incident in which a man armed with a firearm stole cash from a business at Torquay earlier this week have released footage as they continue to search for the man involved.
Around 12.30pm on Sunday, October 7, the man entered the reception office of an Exeter Street caravan park and stole cash and mobile phones from the front desk.
When a female employee disturbed the man, he produced what appeared to be a hand gun before fleeing the scene.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 170cm tall with a skinny build and dark hair.
Anyone who may recognise the man depicted in the footage or who may have information regarding the incident is urged to contact police.

Serious single vehicle crash, Augustine Heights
A 62-year-old man has been transported to hospital with critical injuries following a single vehicle crash at Augustine Heights this morning.
Preliminary information indicates that around 10.30am a sedan was travelling along the Centenary Highway, when it left the roadway near Lloyd Bird Bridge, and dropped approximately 25 metres before coming to rest in a creek bed.
The man, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, was entrapped for a period before being extracted and transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing with police appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, has any relevant dash cam footage, or saw the black Holden Commodore in the area before the crash to contact them.

Police vehicle damaged, Maroochydore
A man has been charged following an incident in which a marked police car was damaged in Maroochydore this morning.
Just after 6am the police vehicle was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Sugar Road and Mooloolaba Road when a car allegedly drove into the rear of the police vehicle.
The car then allegedly failed to remain at the scene and drove away from police, refusing to stop when police attempted to intercept the vehicle.
It will be further alleged as police returned to their station a short time later the same car attempted to side wipe the police vehicle before driving away.
The same officers were attending an unrelated traffic crash on Cornmeal Parade in Maroochydore at around 6:25am when the vehicle returned and allegedly reversed into the unoccupied police car.
Officers were then able to extract the male driver from his vehicle and arrest him.

Shots fired, Dinmore
Detectives are investigating after a firearm was discharged into a house in Dinmore overnight.
Officers were called to an address on King Street at 10:30pm after reports a number of shots were fired into the home.
A woman who was home at the time of the incident was not physically injured.

Man charged over drug offences Logan
A man has been charged over the alleged discovery of a quantity of drugs, a firearm and ammunition at a residence at Springwood in mid September this year.
Around 9.30am on September 11, 2018 police from the Logan District Eastern Crime Reduction Unit executed a search warrant on a premises where quantities of heroin, methamphetamine, MDMA pills, restricted prescription drugs, cannabis, a shortened firearm, ammunition and just over $1000 in cash.
Police estimate the amount of drugs recovered have an average street value of approximately $175, 000.
A 46-year-old man from Springwood has been charged with possession of dangerous drugs, unlawful possession of restricted drugs, possession of shortened firearms, possession of drug utensils, fraud and stealing charges.
He is due to make his next appearance at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on November 21, 2018.

Armed robbery and UUMV charges, Marsden
Detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a man following the alleged armed robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle in Marsden on July 21.
Police will allege a man entered a vehicle on Fourth Avenue at around 4am before threatening the female driver with a knife and demanding she get out of the car.
The woman complied and the man allegedly fled in the vehicle with three other men.
The vehicle, a white Toyota Corolla sedan was located several hours later on Derby Road, Logan Reserve, following a single vehicle traffic crash.
An 18-year-old Marsden man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He is scheduled to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on October 31.
Investigations are continuing.

Serious traffic crash, Wamuran
Police are investigating a serious two vehicle traffic crash that occurred at Wamuran yesterday evening.
Initial investigations indicate at about 8.10pm, a vehicle heading east on the D’Aguilar Highway collided with a vehicle heading in the opposite direction.
Nine occupants from the two vehicles consisting of three children and six adults were transported to the Lady Cilento Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with three of those persons in a critical condition.
The highway was blocked in both directions whilst emergency services responded to the incident with the highway re-opening at about 11pm.
Any members of the public who witnessed the incident or who have relevant dash-cam footage are requested to contact police.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Armed robbery, Earlville
Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Earlville yesterday evening.
At about 11pm, a man armed with a knife entered a convenience store on Mulgrave Road and demanded cash from a staff member.
The man fled the store a short time later with a sum of cash.
No one was injured during the incident.
