Police have charged a 15-year-old boy following the pursuit of an alleged stolen car in Ipswich and Brisbane overnight.
Polair tracked the orange 2019 Honda Jazz when the driver failed to stop for police on Cobalt Street at Carole Park around midnight.
The vehicle travelled on the Warrego Highway towards Fernvale where three passengers left the car.
The driver continued on the Warrego Highway, allegedly driving on the incorrect side of the highway before officers deployed a tyre deflation device.
The car then travelled on the Ipswich Motorway and onto Ipswich Road where it collided with at least one other vehicle before officers intercepted it at Rocklea around 12.45am.
A large amount of suspected stolen property, including handbags, was seized from the vehicle.
A 15-year-old Capalaba boy was arrested at the scene and charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, evade police, failing to comply

Update: Hit and run, Elimbah
Police have released dash cam vision of a vehicle believed to be involved in a traffic crash on Christmas Day where an 18-year-old woman was forced off the road at Elimbah.
The woman was driving her Suzuki Swift along Beerburrum Road when she was struck from behind by a red Subaru Impreza around 9.20am.
The impact caused the woman to lose control of her vehicle and crash. She was transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Subaru Impreza, which was bearing stolen number plates 373EMZ, failed to stop at the scene.
The Burpengary Forensic Crash Unit has released vision of the same vehicle being driven erratically prior to the incident along Steve Irwin Way before turning onto Beerburrum Road.
Anyone who recognises the car or knows its current whereabouts is urged to come forward.
Investigations are continuing.

Update: Grievous bodily harm investigation, Morayfield
Detectives have charged a 46-year-old man following an investigation into a serious assault of a man in June at Morayfield.
Around 4pm on June 19, a 47-year-old man was found unconscious near a van in bushland off Morayfield Road.
It will be alleged that he was left with severe brain injuries after being seriously assaulted three days earlier.
On December 23, a Morayfield man was arrested and charged with 17 offences including one count each of grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning bodily harm, deprivation of liberty, torture, supplying dangerous drugs and trafficking dangerous drugs.
He will next appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on January 13.

Fatal traffic crash, Theodore
Police are investigating a fatal single vehicle traffic crash which occurred near Theodore between December 22 and December 24.
Initial information suggests that a utility was travelling along Gibbs Road towards Theodore when it left the road and drove off a track, upturning the vehicle and entrapping its occupant sometime between December 22 and 24.
The driver and sole occupant of the utility, a 23-year-old Cracow man was found deceased at the scene at around 7.30am on December 24.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing with police appealing for anyone who may have driven along Gibbs Road between December 22 and December 24, who may have seen the crashed bronze Mazda BT 50 utility, to contact them.

Broadbeach Waters family help officers on Christmas Day
One Broadbeach Waters family will have an exciting Christmas story after loaning their jet ski to an officer who was following a man allegedly driving dangerously through the Gold Coast canals.
At about 6am police were notified of a man driving dangerously in a small boat through the waterways near Chevron Island.
Police followed the man from land along the waterways directing the man to come ashore with the man allegedly failing to comply.
The man drove into the Broadbeach Waters canal, where police spoke to a family who offered their jet ski to an officer.
The officer boarded the jet ski and followed the man to a nearby location where two other officers subsequently took him into custody.
Investigations are continuing in relation to his manner of driving.
Police would like to thank the family that helped officers on the day, a true Christmas gift.

Appeal for witnesses: Hit and run, Fortitude Valley
Police are appealing for information following a hit and run traffic crash in Fortitude Valley Christmas morning.
At about 12.45am a motorcycle was travelling southbound along the Story Bridge when another car has made contact with the motorcycle causing both the rider and passenger to fall off.
The car has been described as a new model white dual cab Toyota utility with a white canopy and roof racks. The driver did not stop and continued southbound along the Story Bridge towards Kangaroo Point.
The rider of the motorcycle a 21-year-old Lutwyche man recievd a minor head injury and fractured back.
The passenger a 22-year-old Lutwyche man received a laceration to his forehead and two broken ankles.
Both remain at the Royal Brisbane Woman’s Hospital for treatment.
Police are appealing for anyone that has information or dashcam footage of the incident to contact police.

Serious traffic crash, Waterford
An 18-year-old man is in a critical condition following a serious traffic crash at Waterford overnight.
Around 11:30pm last night, a blue BMW was travelling along Waterford Tambourine Road through heavy rain.
As the driver approached a corner, the car left the road and hit a tree.
The 18-year-old man, who was the driver of the car, was transported to hospital in a critical condition while his four passengers received minor injuries.
Police, including officers from the Forensic Crash Unit, are now investigating the circumstances of the crash.

Suspicious fire, Brisbane
Detectives have released CCTV of a man they would like to speak with as part of investigations into a suspicious fire at Howard Smith Wharves last weekend.
Shortly before 5am on Sunday, December 21, police were called to a restaurant after reports that it was on fire.
Investigations indicate a man approached the business and used items covered in an accelerant to throw into the premises.
Emergency services attended and the fire was quickly extinguished.
The fire caused some damage to the interior of restaurant, but fortunately no structural damage.
Investigators are appealing to anyone, in particular ride share drivers, travelling around Howard Smith Wharves, Boundary/Ivory Streets, Bowen Terrace or the Story Bridge, between 4am and 5am on Sunday to contact them.
Anyone with dash cam footage or information about the man or incident is urged to contact police.

Police vehicles rammed, Cannonvale
Police are investigating an incident overnight in Cannonvale where two officers sustained injures as a result of a traffic crash.
Around 10pm, two police officers were patrolling in a marked police Hyundai iLoad when they pulled behind a silver Ford Mondeo in the carpark of a licensed premises in Shute Harbour Road for the purpose of a random breath test.
As officers were getting out of the police vehicle, the driver reversed at speed, hitting the iLoad’s front left door and fender, causing minor injuries to the two officers.
The driver of the sedan then accelerated away along Shute Harbour Road.
Police are seeking public assistance to locate the driver and the silver Ford Mondeo bearing Queensland registration 519ZHV who remain outstanding.
Anyone who may have seen the vehicle or has any information about the incident which may assist investigators are being urged to contact police.
